go to the windows search desktop and find it in seconds. Its fast, super fast. I have this thing for over a year now. Got rid of huge filing cabinets. Great product. All my files get scanned and labeled as soon as they hit my desk. You wanna find something.
It seemed strange to me as I don't use the scanner extensively. I have been using the ScanSnap S510 for well over a year at a low pace; 40 to 50 pages a day. After cleaning the scanner, I still had the problem and the only solution is to replace the parts. When it worked it was great but as soon as the feeder started to jam it became unusable to scan large documents (40 pages).I am looking for a replacement right now. My HP printers are well over three years and I never had any problems with the feeder. After 9 month, the feeder started to jam. I called the support center and they told me to clean the small rolls.
It has a hard time determining the size of the second sheet but it will let you rescan the last sheet. I would rate it a 5 star but it is not twain compatible so you have to use the software that comes with it. I have been using this scanner at work for about 1 month. Otherwise it has functioned very well and is very fast. This is not a big problem since the software does a good enough job. It has worked very well for me. It does have some problems when you try to scan two different sized sheets together.
The driver supplied by fujitsu will not install on VISTA 64 and there seems to be no where to get a driver that will run 64 bit. i purchased the most powerful replacement i could find and it has VISTA 64 Bit. Now I have a $500 paperweight. I purchased this over a year ago, when i had windows XP pro running. I loved it for taking my office paperless, however due to a complete hard drive failure on my computer, I needed to replace my computer.
Hard to believe this little sucker can move paper that fast, not to mention scanning two sides at once. Even though it scans like the wind, if there are lots of pages and it is going too fast the machine seems to outrun itself at times. Want the best, get this one. It does the job and does it well. The one thing I've found when scanning lots of pages, is if I slow down the scan speed by right clicking on the SnapScan tray icon (it defaults to fastest) then I have less challenges.
